Privilege comes in many forms. A privilege is conditional and granted after birth. Some may feel privileged for having hot and cold running water at home. Others may feel underprivileged because they lack the latest gadget when it seems everyone else has one. The privileged may not even be aware of their special status because they have received privilege their entire life. The end of year is an excellent time to think about what privileges we have in our lives.
